|General History: ||The BMW 3.0 CS US VIN 2240171 was delivered on March 24, 1972 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City.
Thomas O. Richardson purchased the coupe from Tyler Imported Motor Car Co. of Farmington, CT on June 29, 1972 for $10,025.80.
The coupe was restored by Turnpike Motors Inc. of Newington, CT between September 1985 and March 1987 for $11,696.63.
The Natural Resources Council of ME (NRCM) received the vehicle as a donation from Richardson in December 1990 at which time the Automobile Associates of Canton, Inc. of Canton, CT appraised the vehicle with 67,432 miles for $13,500.
Elizabeth W. Porter purchased the vehicle from NRCM in 1991. She used it as her seasonal car in Maine until moving to Florida in 1992. The Florida title issued April 6, 1992 shows the odometer at 70,530 miles (Date Read 01/28/92).
Per the Memorandum of Gift In Lieu of Bill of Sale dated December 15th 2002, Mrs. Porter transferred the ownership of the coupe to her son-in-law Everett "Brownie" Carson of Harpswell, ME.
Behzad Hejazian purchased the coupe with 81,433 miles on November 8, 2013.
The coupe underwent over $24k of rust remediation and paintwork at Vintage Sports & Restorations, LLC in Bow, NH from Nov. 2013 - Mar. 2014.|
